Here's Charlie slumbering sweetly this morning. When he was tiny he'd always jam his head into the corner of his crib and for a while I'd move him back to the center thinking he was going to suffocate (because he'd put his nose in the corner), but then every morning I'd find right back in the corner. Nothing has changed and now I think it's pretty cute. I think it soothes him. He has his binkies (all around him) but he doesn't cuddle anything like a blanket or animal, so it's the corner of the crib that makes him happy. And have you seen anything cuter? Knees pulled up, feet tucked underneath each other. This morning since he was still asleep at eight I woke him up because if he sleeps much longer, naps get all messy and the day just goes better if he doesn't sleep in too long. And besides, I like waking him up softly because by eight I'm ready to see that toothy smile that he always gives me each morning.
